Graphic Designer, Headquarters

BowerGroupAsia, Inc. (BGA) is the preeminent government affairs and public policy advisory firm supporting the world’s leading multinational companies in the Asia-Pacific. With 19 offices in Asia, BGA staff provide bespoke services to clients in 22 markets across the region. The Washington office functions as the company’s global headquarters. We seek a talented, highly motivated Graphic Designer to join our team in Washington.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop client products, marketing materials and digital products of superior look and modern feel that maintain brand consistency, convey information to clients and represent BGA externally; and contribute to the evolution of the company’s overall visual presence

  • Utilize the latest technology in graphic and web design to visualize data and analysis provided by BGA experts both within current product formats and by proposing new ideas.

  • Innovate by keeping abreast of emerging trends, technologies and creative applications; learning BGA’s business; anticipating needs; and introducing new methodology to BGA.

  • Maintain templates and help standardize basic products; maintain website and marketing material updates; and work with respective vendors.

  • Provide digital and print-ready artwork including corporate identity and marketing products.

  • Support formatting, style and graphic requests from BGA’s global team.

Job Requirements:

We seek an exceptional, tech-savvy graphic designer to produce a variety of products. As a core member of BGA, the candidate must work well independently and in teams, exceed under pressure, have an eye for detail, be able to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and be interested in supporting the needs of a growing company.

Qualifications Include:
  • Substantial design experience, with a solid grasp of design principles, composition, typography and imagery; creative curiosity and eagerness to explore and integrate emerging technology into products for in-house efficiency and client deliverables.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and basic editing abilities

  • Ability to work adjusted schedule if necessary to accommodate international time zones

  • Expertise in the mac environment, with some basic understanding of PC platform

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Powerpoint

  • Advanced skills in Adobe CS+ Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat

  • Experience with web design and HTML

  • Photography experience a plus

  • BA, BS or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia design, etc.

  • 3+ years professional experience with portfolio showcasing a variety of creative concepts.
