Bitian Yin is an analyst for BGA’s China team based in Beijing. He provides research and analysis to assist clients in navigating China’s general political and economic landscape as well as industry specific issues.

Prior to joining BGA, Bitian worked as a consultant with a Beijing-based public affairs and government relations consultancy, from where he advised multinational companies, including Fortune 100 companies, and foreign governmental organizations working in China. He covered a diverse range of sectors, including high-end manufacturing, energy, consumer goods, food and beverage products and agriculture. He also led the research and analysis efforts of the firm’s pharmaceutical practice, and supported foreign industry’s advocacy efforts to amend China’s major pharmaceutical legislation to favor innovation and help to formulate and execute China strategy for a biophama sector, which is new to the country.

Bitian also interned at a global microfinance consultancy in Beijing, providing know-how to China’s thriving microfinance institutes to finance the country’s thousands of small and medium sized enterprises.

Bitian has two bachelor’s degrees. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy from China Foreign Affairs University and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Beijing Forestry University.
