Vaagisha is an analyst at BGA’s office in New Delhi. She has a background in country risk consulting and journalism. Most recently, while working for U.S.-based Pinkerton and France-based TAC Economics, Vaagisha consulted multinational clients on political, regulatory and sector risks, with a focus on business security and operational risks in East and Southeast Asia.
Vaagisha previously worked as an Asia-Pacific journalist for BBC and business editor for London-based weekly international affairs magazine The World Weekly. She started her professional career as an advertising and marketing correspondent for an Indian monthly magazine. Vaagisha contributed to many international and Indian magazines and websites writing on geopolitical risk, international security and oil politics.
Vaagisha has a master’s degree in comparative politics in Asia from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a postgraduate diploma in English journalism (print) from India’s premier institute Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a double bachelor degree in journalism and mass communication and economics and political science from Amity University and Delhi University, respectively.
Vaagisha has a working knowledge of Spanish and is fluent in English and Hindi languages.
