Dandy is an economist with extensive experience helping governments devise policy. His understanding of government stakeholders’ perspectives and his success in advocating data-driven policy positions ensures that he provides BGA clients with savvy, meaningful advice and guidance in navigating the regulatory environment and supporting policy development.
Dandy provided crucial research and advice on economic policies to government agencies, such as the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, through his previous role at the respected CReco Research and Consulting firm headed by economist Raden Pardede and former Minister of Finance Chatib Basri. His research was incorporated into regulatory frameworks for government policies including technical and vocational training, the massive pra-kerja social assistance program and the implementation of Industry 4.0. Dandy was also a voice in developing policies to reopen the economy in the wake of Covid-19 and on the National Economic Recovery Committee (KPC PEN). Earlier, Dandy worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Indonesia and AJ Capital Advisory, which equipped him with knowledge of business advisory, taxation and financial services.
With a scholarship from the Endowment Fund for Education from the government of Indonesia, Dandy obtained a master’s degree in economics and business with a specialization in international economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. His bachelor’s degree, also in economics, is from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta.
