Henry brings a strong background in technology, trade and standardization policy in the Indo-Pacific to support BGA clients on a regional level.

Henry developed his experience in corporate and strategic advisory over a decade working at advisory firms, industry associations and standards organizations. Prior to BGA, he worked at the American National Standards Institute as a policy program manager advising multinational companies and trade associations on developments in Asia’s regulatory and trade system with a focus on agriculture, energy, healthcare and biotechnology. Previously, he stretched the intersection of trade policy and innovation technology focused on cybersecurity, digital trade, standardization, innovation and market access while working with the Information Technology Industry Council.

Henry started his career in Asia with North Head Consulting, where he worked as a client service consultant to assist Fortune 500 companies and trade groups. He also contributed to Asia Trade Watch, a blog which presents an alternative perspective of trade disputes and anti-dumping and countervailing cases that have proliferated between Asia and developed markets.

Henry has spent many years living, studying and working in Asia since birth. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master’s degree in business administration and international commerce policy from George Mason University. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English, basic Japanese and Spanish.
