Ikhsan brings to BGA clients over a decade of experience in strategy development and execution, management consulting, corporate banking and financial services.

Ikhsan previously headed the strategic projects department for a development body established to craft directions, policies and strategies for Malaysia’s Northern Corridor Economic Region. He oversaw the economic and development planning of high impact projects for the region, encompassing key connectivity infrastructure projects, high-tech industrial parks, oil and gas integrated development and an aerospace hub.

Earlier, Ikhsan was an associate director at KPMG Management & Risk Consulting where he co-lead the strategy consulting practice. He delivered large-scale strategy projects of national level importance for both the public and private sectors. He led teams in conducting strategic development, master plan development, feasibility studies, economic and financial impact assessments, digitalization strategies and business transformation engagements. His industrial exposure included agriculture, public infrastructure, logistics and transportation, tourism, finance, manufacturing and energy.

Ikhsan started his career with Ernst & Young and was attached to its corporate taxation practice. He subsequently moved to corporate banking as a senior credit analyst at Malaysia’s top investment bank and one of world’s largest Islamic banking groups. He holds a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom.
