The BGA family would like to honor and celebrate the life of our colleague and friend Imran Al-Amin. After an epic battle with Covid-19 and other maladies, Imran passed on to a place where his faith assured him he would find peace.

Imran was the managing director of BGA Bangladesh. He had a great big heart, a rollicking sense of humor, a love of life and especially his family, and a beautiful soul. He was smart, kind and humble. He was a wonderful father and husband and a dependable partner who would do anything to help others.

Imran is survived by his wife Moully bhabi and his daughter Taisha. He will live on in their hearts and in our ours.

Please join us in honoring Imran and his legacy of love, good and honest work and the kindest smile in South Asia.

An IT professional with a deep understanding of structured sales processes, Imran’s approach to clients is direct, humble and personal. After graduating at the top of his class, Imran began his career at IBM in the mid-1990s. Managing IBM’s “Financial Sector Reform Project” funded by the World Bank, Imran realized that a different set of skills beyond a basic understanding of international financial institutions and multinational companies were required to manage such a complex project with different stakeholders. Imran thus invested in understanding the challenges and business values of the government public sector and participated in numerous “innovative government workshops” including many conducted by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore with some of the regional leaders. By becoming a pioneer specialist in government relations and public policy in Bangladesh, Imran went on to manage more than 40+ complex projects and government engagement programs on behalf of Fortune-500 companies over nearly three decades. As a strategic consultant, Imran listens attentively to all clients, large or small, and explores as many professional options to address their challenges. His client-focused attitude comes second only to his love for his loving wife and his teenage daughter.
