Jemmie Kim is a senior advisor for BowerGroupAsia in Korea, and works closely with the team to strategize on providing efficient and up-to-date data for clients.
Jemmie is concurrently head of The Investor, an investment news and accelerator platform at The Korea Herald, South Korea’s largest English publication, where she has worked for 18 years as a journalist. Having closely covered both political and economic issues at beats like Cheong Wa Dae, the Foreign Ministry, the Fair Trade Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service, she has extensive ties with the Korean media and government officials. On the corporate side, her beats were mostly with top companies including Samsung, Hyundai Motor and LG.
Earlier, Jemmie was The Korea Herald correspondent to Tokyo, where she concurrently headed the Tokyo branch of Organica, a food affiliate run by Herald Corp. While in Japan, she also briefly worked as senior market writer at NHK World.
Jemmie has hosted a current affairs program at English broadcasting station Tbs eFM. She graduated from Ewha Woman’s Foreign Language High School where she majored in Chinese. She attended Sogang University and graduated cum laude in English literature.
