Alison Vliet

Alison is responsible for developing and managing a robust training agenda to promote continuous learning and consistency across BGA. She has a passion for teaching and believes lifelong learning is what helps us make meaning out of the world. 

Prior to joining BGA, Alison spent her career in both the public and private worlds of education. She worked as a classroom teacher for more than 20 years before eventually serving as dean of curriculum, where she coached and mentored fellow teachers. 

Alison holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix. She lives in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, with her husband and three children.
