Eqi supports clients in the energy, renewables, infrastructure, tourism and digital sectors. His focus—developed through his prior work at the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas)—is to understand and navigate the regulatory environment in these sectors to help companies expand investment and develop commercial opportunities.
Prior to joining BGA Eqi was an analyst at Bappenas where he built a network with government agencies, foreign missions and non-profit organizations in Indonesia. He identified and untangled bottlenecks in the implementation of foreign-funded government priority projects. With his experience in project implementation, he was entrusted with the role of formulating one of Indonesia’s key deliverables in the Group of 20 (G-20) Development Working Group under Indonesia’s G-20 presidency.
Eqi also served in the ASEAN Centre for Energy where he worked on regional energy cooperation frameworks. He worked alongside global partners to craft and execute policies and best practices in power generation, electric vehicles and nuclear energy.
Eqi received a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia. He specialized in regional affairs and international security.
