Faiz Law
Faiz is a former public servant with experience in policymaking, research and legislation particularly in the fields of advanced information and communications technology and data protection. He currently leads coordination among BGA teams to provide first class service for clients across the Indo-Pacific.
Faiz spent close to a decade working for the Singapore government. At the Personal Data Protection Commission, Faiz oversaw the renewal of Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act. He ensured that the country’s privacy regime stayed robust amid technology advancements by formulating critical policies, managing the legislative process and engaging relevant public and private sector stakeholders.
Earlier he spent seven years at the Ministry of Communications and Information, playing a key role in implementing Singapore’s national fiber broadband network. Faiz wrote speeches for ministers and is a trained quantitative researcher, having led public opinion surveys on social issues in Singapore such as education, trust in government, immigration and Malay/Muslim issues.
Faiz holds a master’s degree in media and communications governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an honors degree in communication studies from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communications and Information at the Nanyang Technological University. Faiz speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Melayu.
