Hafidzi Razali

Hafidzi has diverse experience working as a corporate lawyer, management consultant, capital markets regulator and being an embedded foreign advisor to Rwanda’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. He brings familiarity in dealing with the intricacies of regulatory barriers, policymaking and legal reform processes, having worked closely with senior bureaucrats, C-suite executives and Malaysia’s government ministers.

Hafidzi’s exposure bridges the intersection of the public and private sectors across geographical boundaries. In Malaysia, he worked to resolve a regulatory roadblock for a foreign investment project up to the Prime Minister’s Office, participated in initiatives to reform Malaysia’s capital markets guidelines and supported market entry strategies for several commercial firms. While in Rwanda, he was a key member involved in implementing the African Continental Free Trade Agreement through the introduction of three pieces enabling legislations.

Hafidzi holds a Master of Laws from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he graduated as a Fulbright and a dean’s scholar. He was the first and only Southeast Asian student awarded the United Kingdom’s Oxford Policy Fellowship.
