Kat tracks and analyzes information and communications technology (ICT) developments and regional defense and security issues that affect BGA clients in the Philippines.
Kat concurrently serves as a senior program associate and research associate at the Stratbase ADR Institute, where she focuses on regional defense and security, infrastructure and ICT. She assists in the conceptualization and implementation of the institute’s programs and produces policy briefs for industry stakeholders.
Earlier, Kat was a staff officer at the Philippines’ Office of the Vice President, where she prepared briefings and served as the focal person for media relations. She has extensive knowledge and training in research and high-level diplomatic engagements. Kat served as a substantive support staff at the ASEAN-National Organizing Council and has participated in international conferences such as the Asia-Pacific Youth Exchange of the Asian Development Bank.
Kat is pursuing a master’s degree in international studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She holds a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy and international relations with a specialization in East and Southeast Asian studies at the Ateneo de Manila University.
