Keovisouk Dalasane

Keo is a passionate entrepreneur and often takes on leadership roles to promote learning and facilitate commerce in Laos. Throughout his career, he has supported many foreign companies and government-backed agencies and he played an integral role in the development of the Lao Trade Portal.

Keo began his career as an economic researcher at the Bank of the Lao PDR. He went on to support a joint venture of the Lao government and leading Japanese trading companies before moving to Tokyo in 2006 to work as a corporate planning and Southeast Asia market manager for AIP Corporation.

Keo returned to Laos in 2010, and founded Knowlage Sole Co., Ltd. to provide consulting in business management and development, trade and entrepreneurship. In 2011, he founded 108-1009 Group Co., Ltd., which created the first website to help connect employers with job seekers in Laos. He worked with DIMEX, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the World Bank to develop and launch the Lao Trade Portal, which helps traders find information regarding the import and export of goods to and from Laos. In 2019, he co-founded a local consultancy to provide corporate training and business coaching.

Keo received a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in human resources, from Bangkok University. He later received a master’s degree in international economics from Waseda University in Tokyo and attended a doctoral degree program in public policy at the National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies in Tokyo.

Keo is a member of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Business Development Service Provider Network and the Dual Cooperative Training Service Center Steering Committee. He is vice president of the Lao ICT Commerce Association and is proficient in Lao, Thai, English, Japanese and Chinese.
