Leandro Salud

Leandro provides research and analysis on regulatory policies, legislative movements and political-economic risk for clients in the digital technology sector. He is concurrently a program and research associate for the Stratbase Group, where he researches the growing Philippine tech sector and adjacent industries while supporting the execution of the group’s government relations initiatives. 

Earlier, Leandro spent a year in the United States conducting strategic political and communications research for a public opinion polling firm. He also supported a startup non-profit with its outreach and advocacy work. 

During his studies, Leandro interned for the regulatory affairs division of Meralco, an electric power distribution company in the Philippines. In Singapore, he interned for JUUL Labs Asia-Pacific, where he supported the company’s youth prevention and safety initiatives while tracking the regulatory movements of several markets in the Asia-Pacific. Having grown up in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Singapore and the United States, Leandro brings a global perspective to his work. 

Leandro graduated with honors from the University of Southern California (USC) with a bachelor’s degree in international relations. As a Del Amo scholar, he spent a summer conducting field research on migration issues in Valencia, Spain. He also studied law and EU politics at Maastricht University in the Netherlands for one semester.
