Maria Alynna Corinne Carlos
Alynna provides BGA research and analysis on the Philippine banking and finance sector as well as regional defense and security developments. Beyond supporting BGA, she is a program and research associate at the Stratbase ADR Institute.
Fluent in French, Alynna previously capitalized on her language skills and understanding of people in roles focused on business and marketing, sales and human resources (HR). She worked two years for a HR firm providing analysis of economic and labor issues while handling confidential information. Working for a major oil and gas company, she supported stakeholders internally and externally, while leading the entry of new customers into the company system. She began her career as a marketing and events trainee for the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines.
Alynna is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She earlier graduated magna cum laude from the same university with a bachelor’s degree in European languages, with a specialization in French. During her studies, she spent a semester at Chonnam National University in Korea
