Syarifuddin Anzari Santoso

Anza has deep expertise in banking, financial technology and related industries built on a career providing commercial lending and advisory services for public and private institutions in Southeast Asia. He supports BGA clients in the financial services and digital sectors by creating strategies to manage opportunities and mitigate risks in Indonesia.
Prior to joining BGA, Anza managed financing and trade portfolios for several prominent state-owned enterprises in Indonesia at the fourth largest financial institution in Southeast Asia, Maybank Group. He was on the client coverage side of the team that developed the first sharia-compliant, cross-currency hedging instrument in Indonesia. This innovation was showcased at the International Monetary Fund-World Bank group annual meeting in 2018. Anza was instrumental in securing the global syndicated loans for several regional mergers and acquisitions.
Anza received a master’s degree in finance from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration in accounting from the University of Indonesia. While in London, he attended the HEC Paris Summer School program to study luxury management.
