Ryoko provides strategic support for multinational companies operating in and based out of Japan. She has strong experience in foreign affairs and financial market analysis with a geographic focus on Asia.
Prior to joining BGA, Ryoko was an associate at Goldman Sachs where she monitored risk management practices for the firm’s Japanese mutual fund products and led global firmwide projects for the Japan team. Ryoko has long contributed research and analysis on geopolitical issues in Asia in both the private and public sectors, including for Eurasia Group, the Center of Strategic and International Studies, the Asia-Pacific Initiative and the Japanese Ministry of Defense.
Ryoko holds a graduate degree in Asian studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington and a bachelor’s degree from Sophia University in Tokyo. She is also a wine expert certified by the Japan Sommelier Association.
