Sadiq’s area of expertise as an analyst in BowerGroupAsia in Malaysia includes public policy, political economics and government relations.
Prior to this position, he served as special officer to the minister of finance under two different administrations. He was tasked with various key advisory roles on topics ranging from Malaysia’s annual budget, legislative procedures, subsidy rationalization and election campaigns. He also managed stakeholder engagement with other ministries, private and public agencies, foreign leaders, media personnel and politicians.
Sadiq obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He spent over a year in China at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Beijing Language and Cultural University, where he acquired a deeper understanding of China’s growth, development and its cultural and social progress.
