Tarun advises clients on the full range of healthcare issues they face in India. Tarun has over 40 years of experience in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, largely focused on corporate affairs and government relations.
Tarun started his career with Roussel India Ltd, now Sanofi India Ltd, and worked with the company for more than four decades. He was appointed to head corporate affairs for company in 1997 and continued until December 2016. After that he served as an advisor until June 2017.
During his tenure, he helped develop and implement policy and advocacy strategies for Sanofi in India with a focus on strengthening government and public affairs initiatives in a dynamically changing and highly regulated healthcare landscape.
Tarun helped establish engagement partnerships with local and regional policy and advocacy stakeholders (including senior policymakers, advocacy groups and nongovernmental organizations) that supported business, built reputation and improved access by ensuring quality delivery on issues related to pricing, intellectual property rights and market authorization. He mentored and supported the Sanofi’s director of government affairs (OPPI).
Tarun has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Hindu College at Delhi University and completed advanced courses on intellectual property rights conducted by the Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad.
