Van capitalizes on her extensive background in banking, finance and agro-business to support BGA clients in Vietnam. A former official at the State Bank of Vietnam, she has experienced work in commercial banks, research institutes and large corporations.
Van was an official at the State Bank’s Department of Credit Policies for Economic Sectors for over a decade. She participated in reviewing and drafting legal documents and government directives on banking and finance and directly supported the bank governor in proposing strategy for priority industries.
During her time at the bank, Van contributed ideas to central bank leaders on developing regulations in tandem with other ministries. She supported the national appraisal committee in its investment projects, cooperated in negotiations of build-operate-transfer (BOT) contracts and participated in choosing BOT investors in Vietnam.
Van holds a master’s degree in banking and finance from Monash University in Australia. Earlier she graduated from the Hanoi Foreign Trade University, specializing in international business economics.
