Reuben Josiah Garcia
Reuben specializes in agriculture, banking, fintech, trade and investment research in the Philippines. He concurrently serves as a research associate at the Stratbase Institute, where he conducts policy research and analyzes sectoral trends and political issues across these industries.
During his internship with Habitat for Humanity Philippines, Reuben contributed to both the resource development and communications departments. He supported the organization by developing a comprehensive database of more than 100 potential donor companies, evaluating programs and partner organizations and preparing briefings and reports.
Reuben earned his bachelor’s degree in development studies with a minor in psychology from De La Salle University–Manila, graduating magna cum laude. His thesis on urban globalization was awarded best presentation at the 2024 DLSU Department of Political Science and Development Studies Research Congress. In 2025, he received his career service professional government eligibility from the Civil Service Commission of the Philippines.
