Amelia Dewell

Amelia Dewell ( 菅原 あやめ) supports BGA clients through research, policy analysis and strategic insights related to business and developments across Asia. Her work focuses on helping organizations better understand complex regional dynamics and emerging trends and translating research into actionable analysis that informs strategic decision-making. 

As a Japanese American, Amelia brings a perspective shaped by both personal and academic connections across cultures. She has built experience across government, policy and research organizations, with previous roles at the U.S. Department of Defense, congressional policy offices and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation.  

Amelia holds a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs with a concentration in Asia policy from George Washington University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is fluent in English and Japanese and has professional proficiency in Spanish.
