Bhagas advises companies operating in Indonesia’s energy and resources sectors on how government priorities, regulation and market dynamics shape investment and growth opportunities. He helps clients interpret policy developments, assess commercial implications and advance projects by ensuring that policymakers and other stakeholders understand how they are aligned with Indonesia’s broader energy transition and climate objectives.
Bhagas draws on experience across both the public and private sectors in Indonesia and overseas, leveraging a wide network for insights and engagement. Earlier, as a management consultant, Bhagas advised a range of major Indonesian state-owned enterprises and government ministries on corporate strategy and long-term business planning. He has also supported energy and sustainability initiatives internationally, including work on renewable energy procurement across the Indo-Pacific and low-carbon transition strategies for municipal governments.
Before joining BGA, Bhagas worked at a Washington, D.C.-based advisory firm, where he supported global companies operating across Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Indonesia.
Bhagas holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, specializing in public policy analysis and energy policy, and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology.
