David Francis Huang

David specializes in defense, security and critical minerals. He monitors policy developments and provides analysis on emerging trends in the defense and security sectors. 

Previously, he served as a policy assistant at the United States Global Leadership Coalition in the United States, focusing on Indo-Pacific affairs, U.S. foreign policy in the region and defense issues. 

David holds a master’s degree in security studies from University College London and a B.A. in international studies with a concentration in peace, global security and conflict resolution from American University. During his undergraduate studies, he was selected to participate in the Diplomacy Lab program, a partnership initiative that connects U.S. Department of State officials with faculty and students to address real-world policy challenges. 

David has also gained relevant experience through internships with several organizations, including the Institute of World Politics, Atlas Corps and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations.
