Farhan Amran
Farhan analyzes and manages public policy, regulatory analysis and stakeholder engagement in Malaysia. He brings a dual background in legal practice and government service, offering clients a nuanced understanding of how policy, law and institutional processes intersect.
Prior to joining BGA, Farhan practiced as a lawyer (an advocate and solicitor in the local context), representing a broad spectrum of clients including government-linked companies, public-listed entities and small and medium enterprises across matters involving regulatory compliance and commercial disputes. His experience includes providing court advocacy at various levels, conducting forensic legal internal investigations and advising on risk-mitigation and dispute-resolution strategies.
Farhan has also led national-level policy and civic literacy initiatives, managing cross-ministerial collaborations and large-scale stakeholder engagement focusing on the practice of democracy and constitutional awareness among the youth.
Farhan is a graduate in law (LL.B.) with honors from the University of Malaya. He is fluent in Malay and English. In his spare time, Farhan writes and is actively engaged in thought leadership, including published commentary on national issues and cultural discourse.
