Fauziah Talib

Fauziah has over 30 years’ experience working in the public and private sectors in Brunei Darussalam. She supports companies with innovative solutions and services in market entry, capacity building, business consultancy, event management and branding.

Fauziah started her career as an officer at the Brunei Ministry of Finance Investment Agency. After a rewarding period in public service working in the gold, oil and real estate unit, she joined a private investment company for a couple of years before pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. These undertakings provided her with outstanding understanding and insight into the business environment and policy process in the country.

Fauziah plays an active role in the Brunei business community. She has been recognized through appointments by the minister of foreign affairs and trade as Brunei’s member representative for the APEC Business Advisory Council from 2006-11 and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (BAC) from 2013-15. In 2013, she served as chairperson of ASEAN BAC. From 2006-10, the Prime Minister’s Office appointed her as a board member of the Center for Strategic and Policy Studies, a think tank committed to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of research on Brunei.

Fauziah was educated at the United Kingdom’s University of Brighton, where she received a degree in computing and chemistry.
