Hsin-Yueh Simon Tsai

Simon conducts in-depth research on Taiwan’s public policy, government budgets, legislature and geo-political military developments. He helps BGA clients overcome business and political challenges and analyzes Taiwan’s diplomatic and defense policies.
Before joining BGA, Simon worked at the Legislative Yuan, specializing in legislative procedures, budget audits, bill amendments and preparation of press conferences. His role offered him comprehensive perspectives on law-making and policymaking and expertise in diplomacy, defense, veteran affairs and economics. He oversaw the Foreign and National Defense Committee and the Economy Committee and managed coordination between the executive and legislative branches with public policy and agenda setting.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in economics from Drew University in New Jersey, United States. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese.
