Kate Rustici

Kate oversees BGA’s talent portfolio, leading efforts to attract and develop the highest caliber of talent and ensure that all BGA staff can reach their potential within the organization. She manages the development of trainings and tools to advance our staff’s skills and experience, and ensures company-wide understanding of BGA’s culture, policies and procedures.

Kate has held several roles during her tenure at BGA, providing her with an in-depth understanding of BGA’s talent needs. She joined BGA in 2015 as the director of Asia development, a role in which she led the establishment of BGA’s Asia-based offices and managed operational, tax and legal compliance. She then served as director of contracts, overseeing the timely execution, compliance and oversight of BGA’s engagements, while ensuring company policies align with client specifications and anticipate needs.

Prior to joining BGA, Kate served as the associate director for the Southeast Asia Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. managing the program’s initiatives, projects and budget. She previously served as a research associate with the think tank, focused on sub-national conflict and democratic development in the region. Earlier, she worked as a legislative aide in the Massachusetts State Legislature, where she supported constituent needs, and in the educational non-profit sector supporting graduate-level research grants for the National Science Foundation.

Kate holds an M.A. in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), with a concentration in Southeast Asia Studies, and a B.A. in political science and East Asian studies from Simmons University in Boston. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband and two children.
