Mario Bimo Hapsoro

Mario is an expert in regulatory and policy analysis in the financial sector, natural resources and tax issues. Before joining BGA, Mario worked as an analyst of laws and regulations in the Indonesian Ministry of the State Secretariat for four years.
Mario’s experience in the ministry built his deep understanding of the policymaking process and how policy is implemented. It gave him a strong appreciation of the legal landscape and insights on how to navigate it. In his role at the ministry, Mario provided in-depth analysis and recommendations to the president on the financial sector and economic laws and regulations. His involvement in the formulation of several key economic reforms and important regulations exposed him to the political dynamics and wide network of policy stakeholders.
Mario holds a bachelor’s degree in law with a concentration in economics and business law from the University of Indonesia in Jakarta.
