Nguyen Viet Ha
Ha Nguyen is an accomplished leader in government affairs and public policy with nearly two decades of experience in the Indo-Pacific region. She currently serves as managing director of BowerGroupAsia Vietnam, the Vietnamese branch of the U.S.-headquartered consulting firm BowerGroupAsia. Since 2007, Ha has developed and managed the company’s operations in Vietnam, building a team of approximately 30 professionals and delivering expert advisory services to Fortune 500 clients. Her work focuses on providing strategic guidance on and analysis of political, geopolitical, policy and regulatory developments. Ha helps companies engage government stakeholders and lead policy advocacy campaigns.
Prior to her current role, Ha directed governance and legal programs in Vietnam for The Asia Foundation, a California-based nonprofit operating throughout the Indo-Pacific. She was responsible for initiatives promoting transparency and public participation in legislative processes. From 1997 to 2005, Ha practiced law at Russin and Vecchi, a U.S. law firm in Vietnam, advising clients on business legal matters and consulting on laws and regulations.
Ha holds a master’s degree in international policy from George Washington University in the United States and a master’s degree in international commercial law from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. She also earned bachelor’s degrees in law and foreign languages in Vietnam. Ha’s professional affiliations include membership in the Hanoi Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and honorary membership in the Center for International Legal Studies.
