Kamaldeen Batcha

Kamaldeen is a specialist in policy research, strategic communications and thought leadership. At BGA, he conducts research and analysis on political, regulatory and economic developments to help clients navigate Singapore’s policy landscape and identify risks and opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining BGA, Kamaldeen was with strategic communications consultancy Sandpiper, where he advised clients in the finance, energy and technology sectors on policy positioning, regulatory risks and media engagement. He previously worked as a journalist at The Straits Times and has held roles in research and corporate advisory.
Kamaldeen holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences with honors in political science from the National University of Singapore. He is fluent in English and Tamil. Outside of work, he runs a political book club focused on civic engagement and international affairs.
