Nguyen Trong Nghia

Nghia conducts in-depth research and policy analysis on environmental sustainability and agricultural development to support BGA client navigating Vietnam’s evolving regulatory landscape. He works directly with companies to understand complex policy challenges and develop strategic recommendations for government engagement and regulatory compliance. His work combines technical expertise with practical business considerations, helping clients translate policy insights into actionable strategies. 

Nghia’s career in environmental policy began at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, where he served as a technical officer for the support program responding to climate change. In this role, he coordinated closely with line ministries and development partners to develop and implement integrated climate policies. He gained deep insights into Vietnam’s policymaking processes and the complex stakeholder dynamics involved in environmental governance. 

Before joining BGA, Nghia served as a senior project executive at VietCycle Corp., where he gained hands-on experience in Vietnam’s circular economy and recycling sector. He managed international partnerships, served as primary liaison with international stakeholders and proposed innovative approaches to advance sustainable practices. This private sector experience complemented his policy background, giving him comprehensive understanding of both regulatory frameworks and operational business challenges in Vietnam’s environmental and agricultural sectors. 

Nghia holds a master’s degree in policy economics from Williams College, where he graduated top of his class. He is fluent in Vietnamese and English.
