Raveena leverages her background in journalism and law to support clients in navigating policy developments and strategic public affairs. With an understanding of local political dynamics, she excels at analyzing how policies impact businesses and society, ensuring BGA clients receive actionable insights that align with both their goals and the evolving political climate.
Before joining BGA, Raveena was a journalist at Malaysiakini, where she reported on high-stakes issues including elections, legal reforms and policies. Her journalistic work earned notable accolades, including the Malaysia Press Institute Award for Best Multimedia, and she was shortlisted for the A. Samad Ismail Young Journalist Award. She also has a strong foundation in advocacy work, having consulted for UNICEF on lobbying and media strategies, contributed to media freedom initiatives with Gerakan Media Merdeka (GeramM) and interned at the Women’s Aid Organization.
Raveena has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Reading, where she focused on human rights.
