Duong Thu Hang

Hang helps health care clients navigate Vietnam’s government and regulatory landscape by providing strategic advice on government affairs, stakeholder engagement and public policy. She helps clients understand policy and regulatory developments, develop effective government engagement strategies and build constructive relationships with key stakeholders to advance their business objectives in Vietnam. 

Before joining BGA, Hang served as a country coordinator at the United Nations Development Program in Vietnam, supporting a national multi-stakeholder mechanism responsible for developing global funding requests. She worked closely with senior government agencies, multilateral organizations, bilateral development partners, civil society organizations, affected communities and technical partners to facilitate country dialogue, build consensus and support strategic decision-making on national health priorities. 

Earlier, Hang spent nearly two decades supporting major national health programs under Vietnam’s Ministry of Health. She coordinated multi-donor initiatives funded by organizations including the Global Fund; the World Health Organization; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; the Rockefeller Foundation; the Asian Development Bank; and the World Bank, contributing to health policy development, program governance, stakeholder engagement and health system improvements. 

Hang holds a master’s degree in economic expertise and international project management from Paris 12 University and a bachelor’s degree in economics, planning and development from Vietnam’s National Economics University. She has received three certificates of merit from Vietnam’s minister of health in recognition of her contributions to national health programs.
