Aarshi is a seasoned policy researcher with expertise tracking and analyzing developments in Indian economic policy, international relations and geopolitics. She provides policy guidance to clients across various sectors, with a focus on the energy sector, where she closely tracks regulatory developments related to renewable energy, fossil fuels, the energy transition and the power sector.
Previously, Aarshi worked with the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi. At this leading think tank, she published several research papers, articles and opinion pieces exploring the intersection of international law and foreign policy. She has also served as an India expert for DGAP Consulting, a subsidiary of the German Council on Foreign Relations, in which she monitored developments in India for clients in the industry sector.
Aarshi’s writing has been featured in prominent publications, including Foreign Policy, Hindustan Times, The Print and Business Standard. Before pivoting to policy research, Aarshi practiced as a lawyer at the High Court of Delhi, handling matters related to property law, environment, antitrust and intellectual property rights.
Aarshi holds a master’s degree in international and comparative law from the National University of Singapore, where she was a recipient of the Faculty of Law graduate scholarship. She received her bachelor’s degree in law from India’s National Law Institute University.
