Erika Barros Sierra

Erika Barros Sierra is an international technology policy and regulatory strategy expert with over 20 years of experience advising companies and industry coalitions on how to navigate and shape complex digital policy frameworks. 

She is a founding partner of ThinkTech Policy Consulting, a partner-led advisory firm supporting technology companies, startups, and industry alliances whose products and business models do not fit neatly within traditional regulatory categories. Her work is inherently cross-border, spanning Europe, the United States, and emerging markets, focusing on aligning global policy strategy with business and product realities. 

Previously, Erika served as Director of Global Policy at Vimeo, where she led global public policy strategy and engagement on major emerging regulatory frameworks, including online safety, copyright, and platform governance. She also served as Head of Multilateral Engagement at Access Partnership, where she worked closely with governments, international organizations, and industry coalitions to shape approaches to technology governance and digital trade. 

Earlier in her career, Erika advised multinational clients on regulatory and technology policy matters at EY and Baker McKenzie. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Mexico. Erika holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional. Her work centers on ensuring that emerging regulatory frameworks remain both effective in principle and workable in practice for innovative technology companies.
