Reno Bagaskara, MPA
Reno is an expert in the political economy of various sectors in Indonesia, including digital, fintech and education. He specializes in government processes and policy formulation at the national and regional levels. To help clients meet their objectives, Reno spearheads policy advocacy efforts, including coalition building across government and nongovernmental institutions.
Drawing upon his deep knowledge and vast network of government officials and industry influencers, Reno devises intricate engagement strategies and ensures their effective execution to advance corporate strategies and achieve results. His work has led to the liberalization of Indonesia’s once protectionist higher education sector. Reno has played a pivotal role in the government’s adoption of state-of-the-art technology for public health intervention, and he has encouraged multiple ministries to streamline import procedures for consumer technology devices.
Reno previously served in the Executive Office of the President of Indonesia, where he supervised and evaluated the government’s priority programs concerning macroeconomics, social protection and food security. His research and analysis shaped the intragovernmental talking points and public speeches of senior officials.
Reno received his master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta.
