Riska Agustin

Riska is BGA’s Indonesia’s expert on the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. She brings years of government experience as a key aide to the director general of informatics applications at the then-Ministry of Communication and Informatics, where she provided analysis that shaped policies defining Indonesia’s technology sector. In that role, she worked closely with senior officials, industry representatives and international partners to advance regulatory reforms.

At BGA, Riska advises companies with major investments in Indonesia’s digital, consumer and technology infrastructure sectors. She helps clients understand the politics and intentions behind policy shifts so they can propose commercially viable solutions that meet government expectations. Her work includes identifying the officials and influencers shaping regulations and finding the most effective ways for companies to engage them and advance shared goals.

In her previous role, Riska advised major technology companies, unicorn startups and international nonprofits on market-entry strategies to operating in Indonesia.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Universitas Gadjah Mada and her master’s degree in digital development from the University of Manchester, where she was awarded a scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency.
