BowerGroupAsia team members joined the U.S.-China Business Council for an event entitled “Current Supply Chain Trends and Challenges in China, APAC and Beyond.” The event was held virtually on September 27.

The event featured BGA perspectives from China Senior Advisor Haiying Yuan, Singapore Managing Director Nydia Ngiow, and Head of Research Murray Hiebert. The conversation focused on how ongoing COVID-19 control measures and recent geopolitical turbulence have impacted supply chain stability and distribution in the Indo-Pacific and beyond. External factors, such as COVID shutdowns, have highlighted weaknesses and vulnerabilities in supply chains across industries. Panelists addressed how these concerns are impacting current supply chain trends in the Indo-Pacific and ongoing thinking surrounding how U.S. policy can best respond to these issues.

The event is just one of several forums where BGA is highlighting the company’s perspectives on supply chains, geopolitics and other regional events. For more information, please check out BGA’s website to learn more about what we do, including on trade and supply chain management.
