Farakinanti Maruf

Fara brings a dynamic blend of experience to BGA, spanning the tech and startup ecosystem, public affairs and development. She provides clients and her team with critical and strategic insights to navigate Malaysia’s complex political and regulatory environment. 

Before joining BGA, Fara led the strategy and partnerships division of a business-to-business tech startup, significantly expanding the company’s global presence. Her public affairs work has helped clients in trade associations and the fast-moving consumer goods and health care sectors understand the intricacies of public policy, political landscapes and crisis management. She also contributed to the United Nations Development Program’s sustainable development goal investor road map, identifying key investment opportunities in Malaysia. 

Born in Indonesia and raised in Malaysia, Fara holds a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from King’s College in London. She is deeply passionate about women’s rights and is an advocate for equality and empowerment in all spheres of life.
