Jaime M. Jimenez, Ph.D.

Jimmy’s deep background in politics, academia and the private sector lend him an edge in political advising. Over the course of his career, he has developed a nuanced perspective of the Indo-Pacific and beyond through his scholarly and social endeavors in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Finland and Senegal. Jimmy’s vast experiences in public, private and NGO work have furnished him with a holistic understanding of the most important political and socioeconomic developments taking place in Philippine society, which he leverages to help clients address some of the biggest challenges facing the region. 

Jimmy’s network in Philippine research and academia is extensive. He concurrently serves as the deputy executive director for research at the Stratbase ADR Institute and an administrator at Taguig City University. From 2003 to 2016, Jimmy was an associate professor at the University of Santo Tomas. Earlier, he served as vice chair of the Political Science Department at De La Salle University. Jimmy has been published frequently in Asia-focused journals, participates in a range of speaking engagements on issues facing the Philippines and contributes commentary regularly to the Philippine media. 

Jimmy holds a Ph.D. in Southeast Asian studies from the National University of Singapore. He graduated from De La Salle University with a master’s degree in Philippine studies and development studies and a bachelor’s in political science.
