Nanami Kano

Nanami conducts in-depth research and analysis on regulatory developments in Japan. She briefs clients on emerging trends and identifies opportunities for engagement between the public and private sector.
Before joining BGA, Nanami was a global accounts manager at SoftBank, where she sold closed network and cloud solutions to major Japanese businesses. Earlier, she interned at the Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, where she supported research on U.S. trade policy and politics, including the heated 2020 presidential election.
Nanami graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Science in international affairs and economics. She grew up in the United States, Japan, Bangladesh and the Philippines. She is a native speaker of Japanese and English.
