Vu Thi Van Nga

Nga is an expert in Vietnam’s industry sector, having previously worked in trade policy, industrial policy and general legal affairs with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. She brings 14 years of experience working for the state sector in the legal environment and policymaking to support BGA clients in a range of industries.
Before joining BGA, Nga worked in management roles in the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s legal department. During her time as a legal official, she assisted senior leaders in handling and reviewing legal and policy issues, particularly those related to distribution activities, trade promotion, e-commerce, competition and consumer protection in the chemicals, minerals and supporting industries. She has extensive hands-on experience in law and regulation development, having engaged stakeholders in charge of drafting laws, decrees and circulars on trade and industry. She was responsible for developing the ministry’s annual legal document-making programs from 2017 to 2020.
Earlier, Nga worked for Invest Consult Group, where she provided legal services and project consultancy for foreign investors and foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam and conducted studies on strategic issues facing Vietnam.
Nga holds a Master of Public Policy and a Graduate Diploma of Public Administration from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Law with honors from Vietnam National University in Hanoi. She is a member of Vietnam Lawyers Association.
