On June 1, BGA held a virtual briefing featuring BGA Malaysia Managing Director Hazree Mohd Turee. The discussion, which took place on June 1, was focused on the future of Malaysia’s politics and the direction of its economic recovery.

The briefing came amid a series of notable developments with respect to Malaysia, including a worsening Covid-19 situation as well as allegations from Malaysia that China had infringed into Malaysia’s airspace.

The event, which was held under the Chatham House Rule, generally addressed issues that pertained to the trajectory of political and economic challenges in Malaysia of interest to BGA clients, including the capacity issues contending with the worsening Covid-19 situation, the suboptimal conditions for investment, the fragile parliamentary coalition maintained by Malaysia’s government as well as potential future scenarios for the country’s politics.
