Energy Account Manager
Luong Thai Son

Son is an expert in energy project development with particular specialization in renewable energy. He works with clients in the energy sector to develop investment strategies, understand and navigate the policy environment and engage key stakeholders in Vietnam.
Prior to BGA, Son spent nearly a decade at the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority. As a project officer, he coordinated and managed the implementation of the Renewable Energy Development Program funded by the World Bank. Earlier, he spent five years developing clean development mechanisms for renewable energy power plants.
Son holds a master’s degree in water resources management from the Cologne University of Applied Science in Germany and a bachelor’s degree in chemical technology from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He also earned a Certificate of Project Management Orientation from the World Bank and a Certificate of Official Development Assistance Project Management from the Asian Institute of Technology Center in Vietnam.
