Ristyo Pradana
Ristyo is an expert in the policy, politics and administration of Indonesia’s energy and natural resources sector, especially regarding regulatory issues. In his role with BGA, he helps major multinational companies assess public policy and investment risks and seize opportunities to develop mutually beneficial solutions for the private sector and the government.
Ristyo leverages his deep understanding of policymaking and extensive network of government and industry stakeholders in the energy and natural resources sector to improve Indonesia’s investment climate through successful advocacy strategies. He has a wealth of experience helping businesses navigate complex compliance risks and has designed policy frameworks and streamlined licensing processes in the public sector.
Prior to joining BGA, Ristyo served in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for seven years, focusing primarily on the natural gas industry. A lawyer by training, he began his career in one of Jakarta’s top law firms.
Ristyo holds a Master of Laws from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he focused on renewable energy law and policy. Ristyo obtained his bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Indonesia.
