Robert Salapantan

Robert has extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic campaigns on complex regulatory landscapes. He provides strategic public affairs advice to advance client growth and address issues that may impact business. He covers interactions with government, legislators, interest groups and the media.
Robert’s career in public affairs started when he worked as a senior marketing executive for Manila Times East, a Filipino newspaper based in New York. He then moved to Bremen, Germany, taking up the post as managing director of the Filipino trading firm, Interlink Network Handel Gmbh. After returning to Manila, he became senior manager for government accounts at Asia United Bank. Subsequently he was elected to the board of directors at the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines. Currently he is an Independent Board of Director in GM Bank of Luzon, one of the top 10 rural banks in the Philippines in terms of assets, as well as a senior advisor for public affairs at the Philippine Stratbase Consultancy.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of the Philippines. He is fluent in English and Tagalog and knowledgeable in basic German.
