Siriwat Chhem

Siriwat is an advisor, a consultant and a former think tank director with expertise in digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and cyberdiplomacy. His professional background includes board positions, executive roles, advisory work and consulting engagements across government, industry and academia. He helps BGA clients navigate the complex global cyberspace to harness digital technology innovation for sustainable development.

Prior to joining BGA, Siriwat was founding director of the Asian Vision Institute Center for Inclusive Digital Economy, where he led a team of 50 members, directed the publication of two books and 80 policy papers and initiated national research projects and capacity-building programs. In addition, he was an advisor to the Council for the Development of Cambodia and appointed chairman of the Digital Transformation Unit. Siriwat was also a digital business consultant at Phnom Penh Commercial Bank, where he developed digital business strategy for financial services. He is currently the co-founder and president of the AI Forum and an advisor and adjunct assistant professor of AI at CamTech University.

Siriwat holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in chemistry, physics and environmental science from the University of British Columbia; a Master of Arts in cyberdiplomacy from the Pannasastra University of Cambodia; and a master’s in digital technology management, specializing in AI, from the Bologna Business School of the University of Bologna. He is a Ph.D. candidate in global AI leadership at the Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He is also a board member of the World Digital Chamber and a member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers.
