Yin May Oo

Yin May Oo is an expert in research and business analysis especially in labor market trends, supply chain disruptions and economic policy. She supports clients by providing in-depth research, business risk analysis and strategic advisory services.
Before joining BGA, Yin May Oo worked as a research assistant at the Knowledge Circle Foundation, where she successfully advocated for labor policy adjustments for the Thai Garment Manufacturing Association and supported small and medium-sized enterprises in mitigating supply chain risks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work included in-depth surveys, policy briefs and economic analysis across the agricultural and industrial sectors.
Yin May Oo began her career as a journalist at The Myanmar Herald, where she reported on business, politics and social issues. Her investigative skills, combined with her ability to verify information and build relationships, enable her to deliver accurate and comprehensive insights to BGA clients.
Yin May Oo holds a Master of Arts in applied economics from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of East Yangon in Myanmar. She holds certificates in finance, commercial assistance and advocacy in democracy.
